The Lithium framework continues to make great strides, and project lead Nate Abele has announced that
Lithium has hit version 0.9.5, an interim release.
Coming just a week and a half after Lithium released version 0.9, the announcement makes it clear that the team was eager for the developer community to try out all the new features they'd packed in over the course of just a few days. The
list of changes is lengthy, and includes (among other things): a new HTTP Auth adapter; a redesigned Logger API; a Growl Logger adapter; and much more.
I've posted about Lithium
twice before, and things keep getting exciting. I have to confess, though, that I still haven't taken a long look at the project, mostly because the documentation wasn't as good as I'd like—but with the announcement of 0.9.5, Nate also point out that they've significantly improved their
API docs, thanks in no small part to the help of John Anderson (no relation to me, of which I'm aware).
This improvement, plus the MySQL support ushered in by 0.7, might just be enough to get me to devote some serious time to taking a look at Lithium.
If you're like me and want to get started, then
go download Lithium 0.9.5 and get to coding!
